Government’s UPR report

The Government of Timor-Leste has submitted its report to inform this year’s Universal Period Review, conducted by the UN’s Human Rights Council.

The UPR provides an opportunity to take stock of key progress made in the implementation of a country’s human rights obligations and what actions could be undertaken to further the respect, protection and realization of human rights. In preparation of the upcoming Universal Period Review of Timor-Leste in November 2016, a number of reports by UN and national stakeholders are submitted to inform this review. Find more information and the various reports here.
